Lucas Depolo Machado is an independent designer based in Curitiba, Brazil.
For the past two years, Lucas worked in a wellness start-up company based in Rio de Janeiro. During this period, together with the company's creative director, Lucas coordinated a small team of designers and overseen all brand development projects. He also participated in projects related to business management, strategy and operations, allowing him to acquire a set of business-related skills.
Prior to this experience, Lucas worked as a designer at ps.2 arquitetura + design, a studio directed by Fábio Prata & Flávia Nalon, based in São Paulo. There, together with the creative directors and a talented group of designers, Lucas collaborated in numerous projects for the cultural field, designing visual identities, websites, books and exhibitions.
Before that, Lucas spent three weeks at FABRICA, a research facility located in Italy. He worked briefly for Colors magazine and collaborated in its issue #90, "Football."
In 2013 and 2014, Lucas completed a one-year postgraduate program in visual communication at London College of Communication, in London.
Before that, Lucas graduated in graphic & product design from UTFPR, a university located in Brazil, with a focus on furniture design.
Lucas has also participated in short courses and workshops throughout the years. In 2015, he took part in Typography Summer School, a one-week program run by Fraser Muggeridge and Other Means, in New York and london.
